The second activity of ACR is fluid engineering in the building sector. We are particularly sensitive and involved in the field of ecology and renewable energies. Our consulting department intervenes at any level of the project: preliminary studies of aids for decision-making, advice, technical study of preliminary draft and of execution of projects, complete project management.
Energy studies of decision-making support
On the basis of the orientation concerning the works’ choices and programs, we realize studies of opportunities, pre-diagnoses, diagnoses and energy feasibility studies which comply with the specifications of the ADEME or the local ALE. The main objective is to put forward the achievable energy savings on buildings (envelope and technical equipments) that we study. We use strong, innovative propositions in order to address the global energy problems of building. We advance as much as possible the renewable energies, when their use seems rational (solar energy, biomass and geothermal science). Our independence and our experience in the building sector direct our studies and we always look for expenditure control of energy (heating, cooling, ventilation, domestic hot water, specific electricity). Our competence in economy of construction also allows us to optimize time of return and financial analyses in global costs.
Computer simulations
With PLEIADES-COMFIE, we are equipped with a tool allowing the thermodynamic simulation of buildings. This tool helps us during design phases and to improve the built environment. To complete our expertise, we use simulation software for renewable energies: SIMSOL for thermal solar energy and PVSYST for photovoltaic solar energy.
Statutory calculations RT on 2005
We are equipped to realize the thermal studies corresponding to rules and regulations in force
(RT 2005). Every time, our gaze of energy specialists enables us to deal with the evolutions of these thermal regulations, and to try to draw project owners towards the evolutions which will intervene in the future.
Realization of DPE study
Since November 1st, 2006, every owner is obliged to establish a DPE study during a real estate transaction. The energy label, with its informative and educational nature, allows to heighten general public’s awareness about energy consumptions of heating and domestic hot water. We are certified by AFNOR in order to establish these diagnoses of energy performance.
Project management
During traditional phases of project management of works, we put at your service our competence and our tools of analysis (dynamic simulations), and once again, with the aim to control energy expenditure of the whole project. We always direct the projects we participate to, in order to limit as much as possible the energy needs (analysis of needs, translations of consumptions, axes of improvement of energy efficiency, economic profitability). Our mixed internal architect-engineer composition results in dialogue from the first moment of conception. When integrating traditional teams of project management of works, our experience and our multidisciplinary approach allow us to join the various point of views of stakeholders, and to anticipate problems bound to energy performance and to its promotion (design and good architectural integration of successful energy solutions). Our double competence and our experience in conducting works allow us to anticipate the problematic interactions between the technical professions and the other building trades.
Environmental Quality of Buildings
Within our office, every collaborator possesses a competence in the sector of the environmental quality of buildings. Due to our ecological concern, we always look at the global aspect of a project. Besides our competence in energy, we worry about the other environmental impacts : we study the ecological footprint of the constructions in order to estimate, in a clear and precise way, the impacts on their local and global environment. We focus our analysis on the targets of the approach HQE, which we practise since the beginning.
